ABEAM does not make up its data: most of it comes from other services. Here they are, with what the bot keeps.
Airports: OurAirports
The airport reference (ICAO codes, names, positions) comes from OurAirports, whose data is in the public domain. It is refreshed once a week.
Weather: AviationWeather.gov
METAR and TAF come from the Aviation Weather Center (NOAA, United States National Weather Service). They are shown with their observation time and cached for 5 minutes.
VATSIM network
Connected controllers and ATC bookings are read on demand from the public feeds of VATSIM, cached for 60 seconds (controllers) or 10 minutes (bookings), never stored or redistributed. Account linking goes through VATSIM Connect. ABEAM is not affiliated with VATSIM.
Flight plans: SimBrief
Flight plans (OFP) are imported from SimBrief, a Navigraph service, only when the pilot asks. ABEAM uses neither the logo nor the graphic elements of SimBrief or Navigraph.
Recent real flights: Flightradar24 (beta)
The /fr24 command, in closed beta, shows flights of the last 7 days from the Flightradar24 API. Every reply carries the notice “Data: Flightradar24”. This data is neither stored in a database nor redistributed.
FlightFinder catalogue
Catalogue flights are proposed by the community and reviewed by the ABEAM team before they are published (see the terms). They are suggestions: a published schedule is never guaranteed.
Discord
ABEAM runs on Discord and is not affiliated with Discord.
