These terms apply to the ABEAM Discord bot and to this site. Using ABEAM, or adding it to a server, means you accept them. This is a translation: the French version prevails.
The service
ABEAM helps flight simulation groups fly together on Discord: OPS announcements, sign-ups and waiting lists, SimBrief flight plan imports, briefings with weather and connected ATC, and the FlightFinder flight catalogue. It is free. Some commands are in beta, limited to some servers or testers, and may change or disappear.
Flight simulation only
ABEAM is for flight simulation. Briefings, weather, ATC information and catalogue flights are not documents or information fit for real-world aviation and must never be used to prepare a real flight.
Forbidden uses
- Getting around the limits of the service, including the daily credits of the Flightradar24 beta, or automating calls to the bot.
- Proposing invented flights to the catalogue, or flights copied from a licensed database.
- Posting illegal, hateful, harassing or misleading content in an OPS (title, description, cancellation reason).
- Impersonating another person, an airline or a server.
- Disrupting the bot or trying to access other users’ data.
Discord’s rules and, on the network, VATSIM’s rules apply on top of these terms.
Server admins
A server’s admins (“Manage Server” permission) choose its settings with /config. By naming official roles, they delegate OPS management: anyone with one of these roles can create OPS on behalf of the server, and edit, cancel or handle requests for every OPS of the server. Admins are responsible for the roles they name and for moderating their server.
Your content
You remain responsible for what you write in your OPS. The ABEAM team and the server’s admins may cancel an OPS whose content breaks these terms.
Catalogue contributions
Version of 21 October 2026. When you propose a flight with /flight submit and tick the contribution terms:
- you confirm that, to your knowledge, the flight exists or existed, and that your information comes from public sources, not copied from a licensed database;
- you grant ABEAM, free of charge, worldwide and for the full duration of any rights, the right to reproduce, modify, display and distribute the flight information (flight number, airports, aircraft, days of operation, proof link), including through a future public API;
- the ABEAM team reviews each proposal and may reject, correct or withdraw it;
- if you delete your data, the published flight stays in the catalogue without your name.
Your notes to the team are not published.
Moderation and suspension
If these terms are broken, the ABEAM team may reject contributions, cancel OPS, or suspend a user’s or a server’s access to the bot. To contest a decision: contact@flyabeam.app.
Third-party data
ABEAM shows data from other services, with the time it was observed: weather from AviationWeather.gov, VATSIM network data, SimBrief flight plans and, for the beta, Flightradar24 flights. It may be incomplete, late or unavailable. ABEAM is not affiliated with any of these services; see the data sources.
Availability
ABEAM is provided as is, with no availability guarantee. The service may be interrupted, changed or stopped, for maintenance or if a data provider changes its terms.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ABEAM’s publisher is not liable for indirect damage linked to using the service, to an interruption or to inaccurate third-party data. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Personal data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
Any change to these terms is published on this page with its date. Using ABEAM after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. In case of dispute, first contact contact@flyabeam.app to look for an amicable solution.
